The Cannery is a dynamic living precinct. Operating hours vary for each individual retailer, service and business. Please check specific trading times directly as they may differ from our general hours.

We are located at 61 Mentmore Avenue – in the heart of Rosebery’s creative precinct, approximately 6km south of the Sydney CBD. The Cannery has multiple entry points. If you are visiting for the first time, please reference the Centre Map below to locate the most convenient entrance for your destination.

By Car

While a dedicated on-site car park is available, these spaces are limited and in high demand during peak periods. Metered street parking can also be found throughout the streets immediately surrounding The Cannery.

Accessing Our Car Park
Enter via 61 Mentmore Ave, Rosebery.

  • Swipe credit / EFTPOS card on entry (no ticket is issued).

  • When exiting, tap the same card at the boom gate.

  • If under 1 hour, you can leave free of charge.

  • If over 1 hour, your card will be charged as per the rates below.

Car Park FAQs Parking T&C

By Train

Green Square Station (T8 Line) is our closest rail link, located a fifteen-minute walk away. Or opt for a short bus journey from the station using several frequent bus routes – 306, 309, or 343 routes, that drop visitors within a block of the Mentmore/Dunning Avenue entrances.

By Bus

The precinct is easily accessible via a network of frequent bus services from across Sydney. For those arriving from the North, routes 304 and 343 connect the CBD directly to Rosebery. Visitors from the South and East can utilise routes 309 and 370, while the 306 provides a seamless five-minute link for those transferring from Green Square Station. Most services set down passengers on Dunning Avenue or Mentmore Avenue, placing you right at the heart of our collective.

By Bicycle

For the convenience of our cycling community, bike racks are located in 3 areas, listed below. We invite you to utilise these facilities while you explore the shops, dining, and wellness offerings of The Cannery.

  • Mentmore Avenue: Located within the car park, immediately to the right of the entrance.

  • 36 Morley Avenue: Situated immediately to the left of the entrance.

  • 85 Dunning Avenue: Positioned to the right of the Archie Rose thoroughfare.

By Motorcycle

A dedicated parking area for motorcycles is available within our Mentmore Avenue car park, positioned to the right of the exit. Standard parking rates apply for all visitors.

Dog Etiquette

The Cannery is delighted to welcome your four-legged companions. To ensure a harmonious experience for all our visitors and vendors, we kindly ask that you observe the following:

  • On the Lead:

    Please ensure your companion remains on a lead at all times while within the precinct.

  • A Tranquil Atmosphere:

    We appreciate your help in keeping barking to a minimum to maintain the precinct's relaxed energy.

  • Dining & Hygiene:

    To respect our high standards of dining, dogs are not permitted inside cafes or to sit at tables.

  • Preserving the Grounds:

    Please assist us in keeping our historic landmark pristine by cleaning up after your dog.

  • Social Harmony:

    For the safety of the collective, we ask that only well-socialized dogs visit the precinct. If your companion is feeling less than friendly, we kindly ask that they remain outside.
